SPE through its Energy4me program will present a FREE member training and energy education workshops for science teachers and high school students in Stavanger, Norway. The energy4me STEM workshops introduce local highschool students and teachers to the opportunities in the industry through talks with industry professionals, hands-on energy lessons and a guided tour of the SPE/IADC International Drilling Conference and Exhibition.

The Energy4me STEM teacher’s workshop is designed to allow the teacher to become the student in order to understand the value of using hands on interactive experiments to explain theoretical concepts. The Energy4me curriculum is given free to teachers to not only take back their experiences, but also very tangible and user-friendly resources.

STEM Students Workshop

The Energy4me STEM student's workshop is designed to get students excited about Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) while at the same time introducing them to the scientific concepts within exploration and production in the oil & gas industry. Utilizing the range of hands-on activities, the Energy4me workshop allows students to explore the mechanisms behind some of the key processes in oil & gas exploration and production.

*Teachers must accompany students. Max 10 students per teacher. Consideration for more than 10 students can be made.
