Drillbotics® is an international competition requiring university students to drill a small-scale directional well fully autonomously while mitigating drilling dysfunctions. Alternately, teams may create a digital twin of a rig to detect and control a kick using an industry recognized well simulator. Winning teams present a paper with their findings.
