Leif Hustavnes started his career offshore in 1992 as a roustabout.  He became a roughneck in 1993.  He gained his Driller and Toolpusher education at the Bergen Maritime and Drilling School from 1995-97, and started working as a driller in 2000.  By 2009 Leif had worked his way up to senior toolpusher and in 2011 he became a rig superintendent.  In April 2019 he moved onshore to join the performance department with Transocean.  His current role there is Lead Operation Performance.  Leif has worked around the world – Norway, Greenland, Gulf of Mexico USA, Falkland Islands, Turkey Black Sea, East cost Canada and UK West of Shetland.
